Janie provides capital campaign, board training, development assessment, grantsmanship and development planning services. She assists clients in taking the vital 'next steps' to enhance their fundraising programs.
In a major-gift career that included development and executive director positions at Vista Hill Foundation, Camp Fire Council of San Diego, Francis Parker School and Scripps Foundation for Medicine and Science, she
regularly secured gifts of $1000 to more than $3 million for these health care, youth services, education and mental health organizations, which had budgets ranging from $150,000 to $1 billion.
Janie was named as the
Outstanding Development Professional by
the Association of Fundraising
Professionals - San Diego Chapter
for 2004. A faculty member of the
Nonprofit Management Solutions
Training Institute since 1991 with
consistently high ratings, she has been a presenter at the International Conferences of the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) and the Association for Healthcare Philanthropy. In her CASE workshop
for newcomers, she was named a "CASE Star"
faculty member.
For the UCSD Extension Professional Certificate
in Fundraising and Development, Janie
served as faculty member from 2001
