Developed and implemented comprehensive fundraising plan for first Scripps collaborative, systemwide program, raising $1.2 million in 18 months. Recruited and staffed volunteer advisory board with commitment to fund raising and advocacy for the center. Developed fundraising case and materials. Identified, cultivated and solicited major donor prospects. Teamed with Gift Planning staff to educate and move prospects to close planned gifts.

 

VICE PRESIDENT/DIRECTOR OF DEVELOPMENT, SCRIPPS MEMORIAL HOSPITAL-LA JOLLA

Conducted major gift effort, providing primary budgetary support for Centers of Excellence: Mericos Eye Institute, McDonald Center, Stevens Cancer Center, Trauma Center. Cultivated donors, solicited gifts of $10,000-$3 million. Staffed 5 volunteer boards, and coordinated fundraising efforts of Center directors.

          DEVELOPMENT DIRECTOR

Designed and implemented comprehensive fundraising and alumni programs, supervised publications and public relations for second-largest coeducational day school in California. Designed and initiated capital campaign, raising first $800,000 toward $2.5 million goal. Increased $1,000+ donors by 230 percent and annual fund totals by 57 percent. Raised more than $3.3 million total.
