Janie
Anderson, CFRE
A successful major-gift fundraiser and
highly rated teacher, Janie Anderson, CFRE, is a fundraising consultant who
specializes in enhancing the fundraising effectiveness of nonprofit
organizations. In a career that includes development and executive director
positions at Vista Hill Foundation, Camp Fire Council of San Diego, Francis
Parker School and Scripps Foundation for Medicine and Science, she has
secured major gifts of less than $1000 to more than $3 million for these health
care, youth services, education and mental health organizations, which had budgets
ranging from $150,000 to $1 billion.
Janie is a faculty member of the UCSD Extension and of Nonprofit Management
Solutions Training Institute and has been a presenter at the International
Conferences of the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) and the
Association for Healthcare Philanthropy. She has held AFP accreditation as a
Certified Fund Raising Executive since 1991.
A member of the San Diego Chapters of AFP and the Planned Giving Roundtable,
Janie also is a 1988 graduate of LEAD San Diego. Recently she formed a strategic alliance with Turnquist,
Schmitt, Kitrosser & McMahon, one of San Diego’s largest local accounting
and consulting firms with annual billings of approximately $4 million.
Established in 1964, the firm is celebrating nearly 37 years of service to
San Diego.
