Technical Requirements

All major and minor (harmonic and melodic) scales: in 16th notes,
             quarter note MM = 86 (4 octaves)
All major and minor arpeggios: in 16th notes, quarter note MM = 72 (4 octaves)
Hanon Studies Books I and II: quarter note MM = 76

Performance and Examination

Jury examination each semester
Participation in a recital or performance (second year)
Participation in a piano ensemble
Accompany a soloist in performance
Pass keyboard examination for Piano Majors

Repertoire

Bach: Two Part Inventions (selection)
Bach: Well-Tempered Clavier (selection)
Mozart: Sonata (Early or Middle)
Beethoven: Sonata (Early or Middle)
Chopin: Preludes (selection)
Chopin: Etudes (selection) or Nocturnes (selection)
Debussy: any standard piece
