Forest Photo Welcome

You will notice a compilation of shifting pages, thoughts and images related to me, my past, present, and future.

I am currently a joint graduate student at the Smithsonian National Zoological Park's Conservation and Research Center and the University of Massachusetts. During my past work, as the project coordinator for the Smithsonian Carnivore Conservation Project at Khao Yai National Park in Thailand, I led ranger teams and spent many weeks in Khao Yai National Park's dense jungles, photographing wild carnivores; among them dholes.  More recently, I have initiated my own field research on dholes.  I am pursuing a Ph.D. that will provide essential new information on the importance of dholes for natural ecosystems in Thailand, their behavior, and foremost their conservation status.

I am a Ph.D. Candidate in the Organismic & Evolutionary Biology (OEB) / Wildlife & Fisheries Conservation (WFCON) Programs at the University of Massachusetts.  My major advisor is Todd Fuller. My dhole research is in collaboration with Peter Leimgruber and Nucharin Songsasen from the Smithsonian's National Zoological Park.
