Marathon Area Historical Society
The Society was formed in Oct. 2002 to discover,
procure, and preserve whatever shall relate to the natural, civil, literary
and ecclesiastical history of the town of Marathon and the surrounding area,
and to establish and maintain collections of art and archeology for future
generations. To this end, the society is trying to establish a permanent
residence or museum to house these relics.
