Jimmy was born and raised in Columbus Ohio, the lucky child of parents who had their own Local Rock band in the 60’s. He began his path as a toddler with Pots and Pans. When their band broke up, the drummer gave Jimmy his drum set and encouraged him to do something with them, teaching him the basics and getting him started. He had countless years studying percussion throughout his school years, studying all types of music. He developed his own style, playing with a lot of heart, and showing his love of music, brings excitement to everything he plays. His snappy snare will get you up and dancing whether you wanted to or not.
In 1985 Jimmy founded the "Rain Band" and had a single titled "Racine" on the QFM96 Hometown album. They enjoyed a tremendous amount of success locally, becoming one of the most popular local bands in the area at the time. He played with the Rain Band until 1990 when work forced him to leave the band.
In 1993 his Uncle Joe asked him to come help the Mesa band by running sound for them at a gig, and from then on, Jimmy became one of the leading soundmen in the Columbus Area, starting his own business, Lone Wolf Sound, in 2000.
Jimmy has a 7 piece Yamaha Stage Custom Drum set with too many Sabian cymbals and effects to count. He has been the drummer with the Hosanna Lutheran Church Praise Team since 2000, giving back in gratitude for the talents that God gave him.
Having always been a part of Highway 70 either as a soundman or filling in on drums when needed, Jimmy is excited at the opportunity to join the band for as long as they need him.
