One of the first and most comprehensive genealogical sites, Ancestry.com contains a broad collection of searchable databases, including census indexes, vital records, land records, local and state directories, and miscellaneous genealogical publications. The website also houses ancestry.com’s World Family Tree, a growing collection of user-submitted pedigrees. Access to most of the databases requires a subscription (monthly or annual), which also includes Ancestry’s monthly publication and additional CD-rom software. |
