THIRD GENERATION

4. W. Elbert Moore ⁽²⁾ was born about 1855 in Virginia. There is some confusion over place of birth. Some in the family had said North Carolina. Census records support Virginia as his birth location.. He died about 1911 in probably Middletown, Ohio. Rev. Elbert Moore was circuit rider around Menefee County. Dorothy Mann had his certificate, Methodist Episcopal.

5. Martha ROSS⁽²⁾ was born about 1854 in Kentucky. Children were:

2 i. John Thomas Moore.
ii. Joseph Moore⁽²⁾.
iii. Kelly Moore⁽²⁾.
iv. Marion Curtiss Moore⁽²⁾.
v. Bascome Moore⁽²⁾.
vi. Everett Moore⁽²⁾. Earl Moore reported: moved to Betty Gap, KY. lived on a cliff. Married Victoria Lovelace. They stayed with John Thomas and Martha Elizabeth. Had 2 children that lived.
vii. Luther Moore⁽²⁾. Luther worked at Gardner Harvey Paper in Middletown. Got burned and recieved several thousand dollars. Bought farm in Betty Gap, KY. Everett moved there, lived on a cliff.
viii. Irvin Moore^{(5) (2)}. Emma Holmberg says that Irvin was killed when 16, accidentally shot.
