6. William Barker ⁽²⁾ was born in Jan 1846. ⁽⁵⁾ There was some confusion in the family recollection as to whether Martha Elizabeth's father was William Barker or William Sebastion.

Howard Butler wrote: Mom's dad's name was Sebastion. He was adopted by Mr. & Mrs. William Barker and took the name William Barker. Mom's mother was Emily Smith and grandmother was Rachel Hale. Arlis Barker was a half brother.

Emma Holmberg wrote: I have some census of John T. Moore in KY. Trying to sort some things out. One is JT- 23 Martha E. 21 Mollie (my mother) 1 and William Barker (F in Law) Jan 1846 34 yrs old and Emily (ML) Jan 1847 33 years old.

This branch of the family seems to connect with the Hezekiah Barker-Sebastian family.

7. Emily Smith ⁽²⁾ was born in Jan 1847. ⁽⁵⁾ Children were:

ii. Floyd Barker⁽²⁾.
iii. sherman Barker⁽²⁾.
iv. Benjamin Barker⁽²⁾.
v. Arlis Barker⁽²⁾.
vi. Cordelia Barker⁽²⁾.
vii. Ida Barker⁽²⁾.
