April 1994–February 2001 Financial Writer and Editor, The Benham Group/American Century Investments (Mountain View, CA) Researched, wrote, and edited a variety of materials for American Century’s mutual funds (The Benham Group was acquired by American Century in 1995): • fund annual and semiannual reports • newsletter articles • monthly and quarterly fund commentaries • daily and weekly reviews of the financial markets • web site copy (such as fund profiles, financial briefs, and educational tidbits) • educational materials • marketing brochures Other responsibilities included interviewing fund managers, chief investment officers, and senior executives; guiding reports through review by legal, investment, and accounting staff; and editing material written by colleagues and freelance writers.
