Back in the mid 70s, Wayne Green was publishing "73 Magazine" and he believed that computers were on the verge of coming into the world of Amateur Radio. He published a very good article on the Southwest Technical Products 6800 computer which I read and figured I had to have one of those things. I bought the 6800 and put it together and found it most interesting to play around with. Then I made an attempt at writing a program in machine language that would help me 'dupe' my logs after on the air Ham Radio Contests. I have no idea how I did it but it did work so I typed it up and mailed it to 73 Magazine and low and behold, it was published. I must have been a lot smarter back then than I am now.
To the left are several links to websites that refer to the SWTP 6800 which are quite interesting
I scanned from the magazine and no longer have the actual magazine so this copy is a bit hard to read. It is the best I could do.
