*** 30 Year Reunion ***

The 30 year reunion was held Saturday - July 19, 2008 at the top of the Westin Oaks at the Galleria. Many thanks to Rick Perkins, Susan Frisbee Allen, Debra Zarnow, and Jason Floyd for spearheading this effort.  It was a great event.  The music, awards, and Power Point show were also great.  Time was also dedicated to remember our classmates that are no longer with us (thank you Jason Floyd for doing that for us).  Special 30 year reunion T-shirts and commemorative 4 inch Bearkat's Claws were given to all KHS '78 graduates in attendance.  Although I was armed with an 8 MB digital camera, two battery packs, and plenty of flash memory space I did not get around to taking any pictures this time.  A photographer was doing a great job of that as well as most people taking pictures on their own.  I will be glad to post any photos if anyone would like to send them to me.  Rick Perkins and others have already uploaded some of their photos at Rick's KHS website (see below).  Many thanks to Patricia Torres-Burd and Heidi Heller for sending some of their photos of the 30 year reunion.  See the photo page link below.

Rick has taken the initiative and gone the extra mile on this.  As many of you know this website has changed very little in the past 10 years and is severely limited in its functionality.  Rick's website is set up for today's online world making it better and easier for everyone to keep in touch.  I will keep this site going and leave it for posterity, but set yourself up an account on Rick's site as it is the way to go.  Rick has also set up a yahoo group that keeps everyone informed via e-mail.  To subscribe to Rick's Yahoo group.  Just send an e-mail to KHS78-subscribe@yahoogroups.com and you will be kept abreast of the latest and greatest.
