Kirk Uechi'67 who was one of the attendees at George Higa'67 "Murasaki" performance during the recent Okinawa Studies Conference 2009 provided this information. George Higa didn't perform, only played a portion of the piece he's working on via a cd. Mostly lectured about himself, his music and the music scene on Okinawa. Kirk used to do light shows and promote some of George's outdoor concerts back in the early '70s. The Kubasaki grads that showed up are in the photo: Grant Kagimoto'66, Kirk Uechi'67, George Higa'67, Melinda Wood'69 and Linda Angst '73.
