Memorial to our
Itty "Bitty" Girl

Today was a very difficult day for us - our Itty "Bitty" Girl had to be put to sleep.

Last September we discovered she had a lump on her neck which grew very fast.  In January we took her to the vet because it was obviously not going away.  The vet said she was not suffering and probably didn't even know she had the lump.  We decided to let her live out her life as best she could not even expecting her to live another five months.  This morning something happened to her - she kept falling down and leaning to one side and her eyes were jumping around.  This had already happened back in January but today it was worse.  We decided that it must be time so she wouldn't suffer any down the road.  Since January she has lost two pounds and for a normal ten pound little dog, that's a lot.  Trying to find something that she would eat became more and more difficult.  She was beginning to show some signs of constricted breathing because of the tumor on her throat and we felt that it was best to let her go before she would get to the point of distress.  It was hard to let her go but we'd rather do that than to see her really start suffering.

Thank you Bitty for all these years of so many happy days.   You were the best little dog that would never go potty in the house.  I remember the day we went to Disney World and Grandma was suppose come over and let you out; she couldn't find the key to get in and you had to wait 15 hours to go out.  I was amazed that you could hold it that long.  You were a special little dog and your wonderful memories will be with us forever.  When your Mommie died you took over reminding us that it was time for your snack.

Penny is going to miss you Itty Bitty and she seems sad and lonely tonight.

 We Love You Bitty!

Those were the days!
