Penny was a wonderful Lhasa Apso.  I found her at a pet store in Westminster Mall (Colorado) back on Saturday, December 5, 1992.   A Lhasa Apso was a dog that I always wanted and that day I saw "that doggie in the window"!  Oops, then I made the mistake of holding her and I was sunk.  I kept shopping in the mall and couldn't get her off my mind.  Mind you when I held her, she clung to my neck ~ sunk for sure!  Nevertheless, I went back and bought her.  The next day I was a little depressed realizing that now I had three dogs to care for and three dogs that need lots of grooming.  Penny got her name because she was the color of a dirty copper "penny" and she cost me a pretty "penny" so what else could I name her but "Pretty Penny".  Penny used to sleep either right up against my back or almost on top of my feet.  Sleeping on my feet in Colorado felt really good or even up against my back keeping me warm on those cold Colorado winter nights.  She loved Tinker and used to snuggle up to her and Tinker treated her like she was her own puppy even though Penny was twice as big as Tinker.  Penny had a thick, luscious brown coat that was pretty easy to brush.  She was a very faithful dog giving us many years of love.

I'll have to say as concerned as I was the weekend I got Penny, those 14 1/2 years that I had her went by really fast and she brought many smiles and happy days to us.

Thank you Penny for all those years of so many happy memories.  You were very loving and even Grandma loved you the best.  Now I hope you are giving Grandma some attention and enjoying her company because we sure miss both of you very much.

       We Love You Penny!
