Our history

The MOMS Club began in California in 1983.

It was born out of a need for one stay-at-home mom, Mary James, to find support and friendship for herself and her children.

When she discovered that there were no organizations in which she could participate during the day and bring her children, she decided to start MOMS Club (Moms Offering Moms Support).

Her club was so successful, she knew mothers in other areas must be needing support as well

Soon, she and other volunteers were helping mothers start MOMS Clubs across the country. We now have over 2,000 chapters with more than 95,000 members across the United States and worldwide in 6 countries.
