Still Image
Traditional Media: painting, sculpture, installation, etc. If selected you must be present at E32 to discuss your work. We present jpgs in the same format used by NYFA. * Images must be in .JPG format with .JPG extension * The maximum size for each file is 4.0 MB - this refers to the size of the file when it is saved as a .JPG, not when opened in a program such as Photoshop. * Each image must be no more than 1240 x 1240 pixels. * DPI should be 72 (standard for viewing on a monitor). * .JPGs must be in RGB color space. sRGB is the suggested color profile. * Do not use any punctuation, symbols or spaces in the file names. Tradtional Media artists may submit a curated shows. This allows them to fine tune a curatorial project before submitting it to other art venues. For artists who have shows outside of NYC, this offers a chance to present their work and celebrate/have an opening in New York. E32 creates 3-minute video for these shows. See Archives for examples. With the artists permission these videos are later presented in art windows, art bars, etc. Some time saving notes: E32 is not ageist. We enjoy the energy of the work of younger artist and the depth of mature artists, but we do not show undergraduate work. If you make a video of yourself painting or a slide show of still images, it is not art video. Please submit your work as still images. That said, with new media there are always exceptions. If you commit to a presentation and then find you can't attend let us know as soon as possible and will reschedule you. We will not show your work without your participation.
