A Corellian Love Poem

by Ken Keisel

Here, on a Corellian night, beside the sea,
Sitting on a simple bench beneath a starry sky.
Oh, what fine tales you weave for me
With the Corellian moon to tell them by.

Corellian night, and you, and paradise.
So lovely and so full of grace.
Above your heard the universe has hung its lights,
And I reach out my hand to touch your face.

I believe in impulse, and all that is green.
Believe in the foolish fantasy that somehow came true.
Believe that all that is eternal is unseen
And for this lifetime I believe in you.

All of the lovers, and the love they made,
Nothing that was between them was a mistake.
It was not wasted and will never fade,
For all that we did was done for love's sake.

All who have loved shall be forever young,
And walk in grandeur on a Corellian night along the avenue.
They live in every song that is ever sung,
And every painting of pure light, and every "I love you."

Love that shines in a starry sky.
Love reflected off the silver sea.
Love, a gift to all who would try,
And yet, now held by you and me.
