Mike's 1968 Plymouth Barracuda Coupe

 

Engine:  440ci, ported heads with 2.14 / 1.81 valves, Ross forged pistons, high pressure/high volume oil pump, Ultradyne flat tappet cam, Barry Grant 750cfm carb, MSD distributor, MSD 6AL ignition, CPPA chrome headers, and much more.

Drivetrain: MP 727 Automatic transmission, 3" driveshaft shortened from 68 station wagon, Moroso U-joint retainers, Detroit Soft-locker, 8 3/4 rear axle w/ 3.55 gear, C-body axles shortened and resplined (Moser)

Suspension & Brakes:  MP HD Solo torsion bars, MP Super Stock rear springs, MP adjustable pinion snubber, MP subframe connectors, MP spring relocation kit, and polyeurethane bushings. The ball joints, spindles, and master cylinder are from a '74 Duster. Magnum Force tubular upper control arms. Front disks are 11 3/4" from '78 police car. The rear brakes are 10"x2 1/2" from a '69 Satellite. Rims are Crager Superlites 15x10 rear, 15x3 1/2 front. Tires are 295/50/15 rear, 165R15 front.

Miscellaneous:  B&M  quicksilver shifter (mounted inside stock console), 5" Autometer
 Speedometer and Tachometer, 2 5/8" Autometer oil pressure, water temperature, voltmeter, and fuel gauges, RCI fuel cell, Russel AN fittings and braided hose for fuel system, BeCool radiator, Meziere electric water pump and more.




Wish List:  Better heads, possibly Aluminum. Belt drive for cam. Computer controlled port fuel injection and direct ignition. ATI Pro-Charger w/ intercooler. Roll cage. 17x8 rims w/ 245/45ZR17 tires for front. 17x11 rims w/ 335/35ZR17 tires for rear. Bucket seats with lateral and lumbar support. Paint and body work. New headliner, re-do rear seat.
