Lap Books™
Homeschooling across a wide range of ages

  • Lap Books™  Lap Books™ are books children make, and books that you make with your children.  The Tobin's Lab™ website has a list of instruction books you can order for working with your children using Lap Books™.  (Yes, the repetition of the little ™ symbol is irritating, but terms so marked have been registered as a trademark.  When trademarked names are used casually [and in print this means without a capital letter to indicate it is a proper name], the owner of the trademark can lose the value he or she has invested in it.  Common words that started out as trademarks are aspirin, linoleum, cellophane and escalator.  Once the trademark loses it's 'specialness' anyone can make a similar product and benefit from the name-identification.)

Other websites have illustrations of how other parents have used Lap Books™.
