American Association of University Women (AAUW), Southwest Dallas County Branch (SWDC)
AAUW is a national organization that works to promote education and equity
for women and girls.
Membership in AAUW is open to anyone with at least a 2-year college degree.

The Southwest Dallas County branch holds a general meeting each month, September
through May, with either a speaker or a social event.
We organize and sponsor an Expanding Your Horizons (EYH) career day program
for girls of grades 6,7,and 8 that is held in February at Cedar Valley College.

In addition we have special interest activity groups such as bridge and gourmet.

The membership year runs from July 1 through June 30; however, if you join
after March 1, your dues cover the remaining months of this membership year
and all of the next membership year.
Dues for the year July 1, 2009 through June 30, 2010 are $69; this includes
national AAUW ($49), Texas AAUW ($10), and our branch ($10). [$47 of the national AAUW dues is deductible from your federal tax as a charity contribution.]
