EYH at Cedar Valley College, Lancaster, TX
Registration:
Advance registration is required for student and adult participants.
The registration form is available at the DOCUMENTS page.
The registration fee (non-refundable) covers the conference materials..
There will not be any on-site walk-in registration capability.
Student workshops are small groups, and students are assigned on a first-come basis.
Students are asked to specify 6 workshop choices, in the order of their preference,
and they will be assigned to attend 3 of those workshops.
All adults attend the same special program of speakers.
Adults may attend for free, but must also pre-register so that we can have adequate seating.
Although most adult attendees are women, men are welcome.
Any adult who wants to have a copy of the student handouts needs to register
as a 'paying adult' and pay the same fee as the students.

No confirmation will be sent.
You may enclose a self-addressed, stamped envelope with your registration
if you want us to send an acknowledgment that we received your form and payment..Use menu at left to view the Studnet or Adult Workshop Lists.

Location:
Cedar Valley College, 3030 N. Dallas Ave, Lancaster 75134.
The college is approximately 2 miles south of I-20, exit for Route 342
(Lancaster Road / Dallas Avenue), on east side of Dallas Ave.

Use the main campus entry (not the sports fields entry).
Parking lot S1 (the furthest from the entry) is most convenient for EYH.
Most academic buildings are located around a central courtyard but
the student workshops will be in the new Building M, a large, glass building across from lot S1.
There will be a sign directing you to the sign-in area..
Members of the Cedar Valley College chapter of the Phi Theta Kappa International Honor Society
will be on duty to help guide the girls to their classrooms.
Thus, parents and group leaders can attend the adult sessions without concern about the girls getting lost.Please do not call Cedar Valley College for information about the EYH conference.
They are the host site but they are not involved in organization of the workshops or handling the conference registrations.

General format
Sign-in from 8:45 to 9:15 a.m.
Look for an EYH sign by Building M entrance for direction to the sign-in area.
Students and adults assemble by 9:20 to be taken to their first class rooms.
The first session starts at 9:30.
The adult program times may be somewhat different from the student schedule.
However, both student and adult programs will end by 12:45.Student workshops focus on hands-on or interactive activities
related to specific career areas that involve math, science, or technology.
Each workshop is limited to 20 to 25 girls per session.
Students will be pre-assigned to their workshop sessions, on a first come basis,
according to the preferences they indicate on their registration form.The adult program focuses on issues related to encouraging girls in their education and life activities.
It includes presentations by professionals and an opportunity for group discussions.
Adult attendance is limited to approximately 45 people.
