All Aboard!

Welcome to the McKinney Sub of the MKT (Katy) Railroad. This is the future home of what will be an N-Scale model railroad. Why did I choose the Katy as my primary railroad? The first reason is that my grandfather was an engineer for the Katy. He is listed in the 1910 Census as a Fireman and in the 1920 and 1930 Census as an Engineer. The other reason is the same as other enthusists in wanting to preserve the memory of the Katy. A railroad that made a huge impact to the Southwest.

I have purchased rolling stock and a 4-6-2 Pacific Steam Locomotive. However, no track has been laid which to support these wheels. With that, I and am currently in real estate negotiations. The game room, while big, is currently managed by the wife who is not ready to give up this prime land as it has been fully developed. We are however, hopeful that a tiny parcel can be procured.
