When I was a sophomore in college, a buddy of mine passed a CD to me and made this bold statement: "You will like every single song on this disc." That CD was Sugar's Copper Blue.

I thought the CD was excellent, of course, but it didn't capture my attention for more than a month or two. I think it was a couple months later that I spotted a Sugar live tape at a record fair. It was the Cabaret Metro show from 1992. I wasn't having much success that day finding anything interesting, but as it turns out, this was the gem I was looking for.

Hearing Sugar live, as opposed to hearing them on CD, was a whole 'nother bag. The delivery of the material had a clearer sense of urgency. The intensity level was bumped up all the way to 11. Now I was hooked. Since then, I've gone on to be a live Mould junkie. I only saw Sugar live twice, but I've since caught plenty of Mould's solo gigs. I dare say his solo acoustic shows are more intense and enjoyable than the Sugar gigs were. It's a tough call.

With the inception of the Sugar mailing list, people began posting reviews and setlists for darn near every show Bob Mould played. I thought it might be a good idea to capture all of these setlists and reviews and make them available on the web. I'm covering the dates from 1992 to the present on this site, while setlists from gigs prior to '92 may be available within Paul Hilcoff's discography.

While I was revising the setlist pages, I thought it would be cool to try and have a news page. Current information regarding Bob Mould is next to impossible to find on the internet, unless of course you're on the Sugarlist.

Enjoy!
