F.A.Q.
Why would someone contact your organization?
We are contacted by individuals who believe they may be experiencing either spirit phenomena, natural causes producing a similar effect, or suffering from an overactive imagination. Unsure or curious as to what exactly is responsible, they contact the MVPS. Most people say to us over the phone; "I'm either crazy, or I have a ghost."
Do you charge money for investigations?
No. The MVPS has never engaged in charging money for conducting an investigation. We pride ourselves on providing a free service to our clients.
Do you accept donations?
The MVPS has never solicited or accepted monetary or equipment donations in exchange for counseling or investigations. We find this practice to be against better judgment and highly unethical.
How active is the MVPS?
By choice, the MVPS conducts two to four scheduled investigations per month.
Why do you limit the number of investigations you conduct?
Quality has always been our main focus. Experience has taught us that there is much more that can be learned from one thorough investigation rather than from one hundred rushed investigations. This allows us vacancies for emergency cases.
What is a emergency case?
Occasionally, we will receive a call from a panic-stricken individual who believes they are experiencing paranormal phenomena. The fear factor in clients is not unfamiliar to us. Commitment to our clients has prompted the MVPS to address these cases as quickly as possible. We feel that an investigation and immediate counseling is warranted and emergency cases always take precedence.
How can I become a member?
Just visit our membership section to see if a position has become available. If we are looking for additional members, be sure to fill out the online application form.
Is this your full-time job?
No. Our research is not a source of income for any of us. Our research is an out-of-pocket expense which requires us to be employed elsewhere. It is our day jobs that provide us with the means to purchase film, tapes, batteries and other items needed for our investigations.
Why did you form the MVPS?
Our personal experiences have shown us that spirits are real. We cannot assume that they can be documented with modern equipment. We are hear to help with the fears of people who are experiencing some sort of phenomena.
Will having my home investigated make my paranormal activity worse?
Our research has shown that no investigation has resulted in increased or diminished activity. Activity seems to remain the same and, over time, subsides to infrequency, sporadic events or non-existence.
Are the results of your investigations posted on this website?
With total respect for our clients privacy, we will not post any results from an investigation without the consent of the client. Should we obtain consent for posting results, and unless stated otherwise by the client, names and addresses are still withheld from public view. |
