Warning Description: Special Weather Statement
Warning Date: 11:39 PM CST on November 21, 2009
WarningSum:...Dense Fog Expected In Low-Lying Areas In Eastern Wisconsin
Tonight...
Warning Message:Fog is expected tonight in eastern Wisconsin. Most of the area
will have visibilities around 2 or 3 miles for the rest of the
night. But the fog will be much more dense in low-lying areas.
The visibility in such locations will fall well below 1/4
mile...to as low as a hundred feet at times. This will create
hazardous travel conditions.
Anyone traveling tonight should be prepared for the fog...and
plan accordingly. If you encounter a fog bank while driving on the
Highway...always use your low-beam headlights and slow down to a
speed at which you can safely stop if you encounter an animal or
object in the roadway.
Clouds and a little more wind will greatly limit the amount of
fog that develops in central and north-central Wisconsin.
