Pictures of N.E. Reunion with comment by Ernie Brown

Folks

I just want to say this ... Last year I met Terry Smith at the Northeast Vietnam's Reunion. I'll tell you one thing, Terry has done an outstanding job holding the Reunions. He put his heart and soul into it. You would not believe the work Terry and the locals put in to a reunion.

Picture this ... about 80 Acres ... 1/2 wooded and other 1/2 open field. You will see lines of tents and trailers, vans, motor homes in the woods and in the field. Terry's neighbor lets Terry use the property for the reunion.

Terry has a big fire pit about 12 feet in diameter and enough wood all stacked up to burn 24/7. Terry and his crew organize and get locals to help and donate to the reunion.

I met some outstanding Amtracers at that reunion and Terry being one. Wayne Clark, Jim Hansen and Tom Cantrello, Art Romain, Ken Boger, Vic (forgot last name), Bill Pinkston, Mark Manley there must have been 22 Amtracers. I guess there were close to a 1,000 there.

This past July I took my wife and she was really impressed with the setup and everyone talking and sharing information and history and she learned something about my past she never knew. Last year I camped in a tent, this year I took my travel trailer.

My wife Karen had a great time at the reunion visiting other wives and listening to old war stories. I have a great respect for Terry and his family and his crew that help put the reunion on. If you haven't been to that reunion you should at least go to one and see for yourself.

I make some great friends there. If you want to meet Amtracers that is the place to be.
