This 3 bedroom, 1 bath cottage (sleeps 5 – 6) is located on 50 acres at the base of Cold Mountain along the East Fork of the Pigeon River. The yard is private and has a fire pit that is perfect for family gatherings and roasting marshmallows. And is within walking distance of the river---just a few minutes, and you are there! When you are not relaxing on the front porch, you may want to explore the sights and attractions of the Greater Smoky Mountains area that have the best to offer and are conveniently located to our cottage. We are located just 15 minutes from the unique town of Waynesville with its art galleries, shops, boutiques, coffee shops and gourmet dining opportunities. Take a 45 minute drive to the town of Asheville and you have the Biltmore House and Grove Park Inn or just spend the day exploring this unique town. You certainly have your choice of colorful festivals, craft fairs, antique shops, country western dancing, horseback riding, some of the best fly fishing around, white water rafting, gem mining, winter skiing, golf, tennis, mountain biking and many special events throughout the year. And don’t forget: the Blue Ridge Parkway is only 15 minutes away and is convenient to so many of “mother nature’s” finest wonders of Western North Carolina’s mountains.
