Eyes of Brown
Written for Monica from Sean
Her eyes stared into me Her smile won my heart The sun cannot rise Nor can the day start Without a good morning From her soft voice The love she has caused Has left me no choice.
She walks like a dancer And speaks like a poet Her beauty surrounds me And wouldn’t you know it The birds only sing When she is about And the moon cannot shine Unless she is out
She was born in the spring Like a new leaf of green And just being near her Makes my life serene But those eyes of brown Stole my heart when we met That day my life changed I will never forget
Tonight as I hold her Tears I will weep And kiss her sweet lips As she falls asleep Her hair I will brush Away from her face And dream of this lady In our special place
