Floating
I searched for love for many years Without too much success. Then one day when the sun was bright And warm, I must confess ….
I met the one I hoped would be My true love forevermore. Our meetings on the screen at night Brought love right to my door.
Floating on the wires above Connected to my heart … The thrills my Love would take me to - I knew we’d never part.
Words that took my breath away And images so sweet. The private times we shared alone I hoped we soon would meet.
And then one day our eyes did meet No wires between us now. I reached out to join our hands We’d never part I’d vow.
But all too soon we once again Were on the screen at night – But this was fine, for in my heart I knew our love was right.
But then one day my screen was blank I sat there all alone. For weeks I searched for my true love And waited by the phone.
Where is my love - my heart aches so … I’ve looked in vain so long. I won’t give up quite just yet - I know I can’t be wrong.
I knew our hearts would be as one Since the day we met. I know I’ll find my love again - Floating on the Net.
