There was a young lady who went for a swim In waters, till now, unknown. With no one around, she hoped she'd not drown - You see, she was swimming alone. She stood on a rock and peered o'er the side, The edge she gripped with her toes. She took a deep breath and leaped toward sure death In her hand, she held but a rose. The water was cold, the fish were so bold - Not at all what she thought it would be. Surrounded by foes, she found she had chose To swim in the Hepatitis Sea ! As she looked around, to her horror she found Creatures that ascended from hell ! She felt so alone, she was chilled to the bone Entrapped in her watery jail. But when she looked up to the rock whence she leapt She saw some hope from her friends. Her spirit renewed, she'd not be the food For the fish with the devilish fins. Her eyes were now set on the freedom she'd get When she reached the far rocky shore. Her strokes, sure and strong, she could not be wrong Her life was worth more and more. But as she neared the edge of the ol' rocky ledge From whence she had leapt once before She felt a strong arm grab her leg to do harm And fear overtook her once more. But then, by her side, a friend could not hide His anger, his hurt, and his pain. He pulled her 'long side him, the beast, it now spied him And realized it had nothing to gain. She was safe once again and, of course, they both ran From this place they did not want to be. And now she can smile, for she knew all the while She'd beat the Hepatitis Sea !
