The Trinity

Although the word Trinity is not in the Bible, the Bible does speak of a God who is represented to us in three persons. It is hard for our earthly minds to comprehend many spiritual truths, but we still must believe them and let God explain it better to us when we get to heaven.

In Genesis 1:26 God says "Let US make man in OUR image, after our likeness." Suggesting a plurality in the Godhead.

At the baptism of Jesus we see the trinity! Jesus, the Son comes up out of the water and the Spirit descends upon him, as the Father speaks. Matthew 3: 16,17.

The disciples were to baptize the new believers in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost. Matthew 28:19

Jesus says in John 10:30 "I and my father are one".

Jesus promised the Father would send the Comforter, the Holy Spirit, as He left the earth. John 14:26 and John 15:26.

Jesus is called the Creator in John 1:1-14.

"The Grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Ghost, be with you all. Amen" II Corinthians 13:14

"Elect according to the foreknowledge of God the father, through sanctification of the Spirit, unto obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ."

These verses show clearly that our God is One God with three distinct personalities. May we be faithful to Him.
