Matthew 27:22
"Crucify Him." The cry still reverberates through the pages of time! "Let Him be crucified." "Why what evil hath He done?" "But they cried out the more saying, Let Him be crucified." Pilate washed his hands and declared that he was innocent of this man's blood, yet he delivered Jesus up to be crucified. The soldiers stripped him, plated a crown of thorns and placed it on His head. They mockingly said Hail King of the Jews. They spit upon Him. They smote Him on the head, and led Him away to crucify Him. When they came to a place called , Golgotha, they crucified Him and cast lots for his garment, that the Prophet's words might be fulfilled, "They parted my garments among them, and upon my vesture they cast lots." And sitting down they watched Him there! And set up His accusation written, "THIS IS JESUS THE KING OF THE JEWS." And they that passed by reviled Him, Save thyself. He saved others, Himself he cannot save. If He be the King of Israel, let Him now come down from the Cross and we will believe Him. He trusted in God: let Him deliver Him now, if He will have Him: for He said, I am the Son of God. Now from the sixth hour there was darkness over all the land. Jesus cried with a loud voice, and He cried again with a loud voice and yielded up the ghost. And behold, the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom; and the earth did quake, and the rocks rent. Now when the centurion saw the earthquake, and those things that were done, he said, "Truly this was the Son of God." When Even was come, there came a rich man of Arimathea, named Joseph. He begged the body of Jesus and laid It in his own new tomb, and rolled a great stone to the door of the sepulcher, and departed. So they went and made the sepulcher sure, sealing the stone, and setting a watch! In the end of the Sabbath there was a great earthquake, for the angel of the Lord descended from Heaven and came and rolled back the stone from the door and sat upon it. "He is not here: for He has risen as He said. Come see the place where the Lord lay. And go quickly and tell His disciples that He is risen from the dead. All power is given unto me in Heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. AMEN ! WHAT WILL YOU DO WITH JESUS ?? You can read this story as I have told it in Matthew chapters 27 and 28. May each of us let the crucifixion of Jesus make the changes in our lives that need to be made! God bless you. Your Friend in Christ,
