Why Do You Wait?

There is an old song that has the words, "Why do you wait dear brother?  Why do you tarry so long?"  I think of that often!  Why do we wait, when the love of God is offered to us so freely?  Do you ever think of that question?

The Psalms asks, "When I consider thy heavens, the work of thy fingers.  The moon and the stars, which thou hast ordained; what is man that thou art mindful of him?  And the son of man that thou, that thou visitest him?"  Another question that makes us think!  Yes, Why does God lower Himself to be mindful of man, and since He is mindful of us, then, why don't we immediately come under the shadow of His wings for comfort, protection and Eternal Life!!

I'm a preacher! I try to get others to follow the Lord in salvation, then to follow Him in daily living.  But I also ask myself, "Am I willing to obey the Lord? Why do I wait?"  Since God loves me so much I desire to obey Him and follow Him in everything.  I can truthfully say that when I have followed the Lord I have been blessed!  I pray that many will be encouraged to answer the question in a positive way.

Are you still waiting to accept Jesus as your Savior?  Isn't it time that you accept the invitation and open the door?  We don't know why God wants to give us Eternal life, but the Bible says that He does. We see others who claim to know the joy of Jesus as their savior.  So in light of all we know, and see, we should act on the plan of salvation that God has placed in the Bible and let Him change our lives.

There are many who have a testimony that Jesus changed their lives when they gave their life to Him.  II Corinthians 6:2 tells us, "Behold, Now is the accepted time; Behold, Now is the day of Salvation."  Since many have tested God's plan of salvation and found it to be a life saver for them, I ask you to test it today.  Here's the plan of salvation!  Don't put it off.  Don't wait any longer.

All have sinned and come short of the glory of God.  (Romans 3:23)

The wages of sin is death.  (Romans 6:23)

But God commendeth His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.  (Romans 5:8)

For the wages of sin is death; but the Gift of God is eternal Life through Jesus Christ our Lord.  (Romans 6:23)

If thou shalt confess with thy mouth the lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hat raised Him from the dead, THOU SHALT BE SAVED.  (Romans 10:9)

So let's not put it off any longer!  Why do you wait Dear Brother (or sister)?  Accept Jesus as your Savior today.  Then contact us so we can give you some spiritual help!  That's what we're here for.  I hope to hear from you soon!
