Recent DAR Placques and Awards
Several years ago the New York City Chapter, NSDAR arranged for a placque to be placed on the front of The Kosciuszko Foundation, honoring Polish-born American patriot, Brigadier General Tadeusz Kosciuszko. Our 2005 Fall Gala was held at The Kosciuszko Foundation, where the New York City Chapter presented the DAR Motion Picture, Radio and Television Award to the screenwriter of the Emmy Award-winning television movie, Warm Springs. In recent years we have also awarded the DAR Medal of Honor, the National Society's highest award. In addition, the New York City Chapter continues to support an American History Scholarship it established 100 years ago at Barnard College.
