Hope Axl Naula Zerden Lipitz Hess
by ASPCA Employee Sarah Hess

Hope came to the ASPCA with her sister, Hannah, at the age of two months. Within a day of being made available for adoption, she was snatched up. I became very attached to her sister, who was here for a few more days until she, too, was adopted. About a year later, I was walking into work one day, when I saw a fellow employee walking this gorgeous dog into the building. It was Hope! She had been returned because her owner was moving, and I immediately fell in love with her all over again. Within a few weeks, she was a part of my family. Because of my hectic schedule, I was hesitant to adopt her because I didn't think I could give her enough attention. After a close friend met her, we decided to adopt her together. I now share joint custody with her and she gets tons and tons of attention!
Hope loves the dog runs, playing with her many, many toys, and taking trips up to Killington, Vermont, where she loves to play and jump around in all that snow! She is an amazing dog who is so easygoing, fun, and so easy to please. We love having her around and taking her to the dog runs to meet up with her friends every week. Once I saw her again, I knew that she needed to be a part of my life.
