Roundtable:
- Lin mentioned the Wood badge that was available for adults to receive. It’s great experience. For more information, contact Lin F.
Day Camp:
- Registrations turned in. Thanks Cindy!
- 22 kids registered.
- 6 kids registered for morning camp, but only 1 adult. Need another adult to achieve 1 adult for every 3 kids. Please contact Cindy L. if you can participate.
- 16 kids, 11 adults registered for evening camp.
Finances:
- Balance is $1,390.65
- Caroline C. requested that all outstanding receipts or money be turned in asap so that we can reconcile the books.
Elections for next scout year:
- Many positions and key roles have been resolved.
- Questioned whether we need another training chair (other than Amanda)
- James D. to discuss elections during camp out pack meeting
- School Night For Scouting a key role that needs to be resolved quickly
- Need each Den Leader to contact parents to support open positions and to participate/vote to finalize elections at the Apr 26 Parent Leader Meeting
- Need all people leaving offices to attend next Parent/Leader Meeting
- All Folders and By-laws need to be brought to next Parent/Leader Meeting to discuss potential updates and pass on to successor.
Campout:
- Wow – weather looks to be Great! (maybe a little chilly)
- Grisel sent out several emails detailing schedule, location, campsites, checklists. If you didn’t receive, contact Grisel.
- Amanda to bring cones for James
- 5th grade Webelos to teach Knots to younger scouts
- Siblings need to purchase walking sticks if needed
May 3rd Pack Meeting:
- Den 16 responsible
- Need to contact Asst Principal to reserve Gym (Caroline C.)
- Briefly discussed applying the March Pack Meeting activities to this Pack Meeting, since so few were able to attend the March Pack meeting.
- Theme is Pet Pals which fits with March Pack Meeting theme.
- Planning Meeting scheduled for April 19th at 7pm at the McDonalds (back room) at Alma and Spring Creek.
- Lin to communicate with District on Friends of Scouting
Awards:
- Minor changes updated.
- Overall proposal submitted by Amanda unanimously approved.
- Amanda to communicate finalized proposal.
- Den Leaders need to be responsible and actively aware of awards requested for their Den. Amanda will accept requests from parents, but leaders need to approve them fist.
Summer Activities:
- No one present to discuss.
- Regatta was raised as a potential activity and received overall favorable response. Susie L. to investigate further. Need rain gutters (thought that Steve R. had some). Those participating would need to purchase boats at Elliots – it would not be funded by the Pack.
Clean-up Plano: April 9 (Sat) at 11 AM – meet at the Thomas Gazebo

- Event takes 1 to 1.5 hrs.
- Lunch is at CiCi’s after the event

Pack Audit:
- Prior to elections, need to audit books and propose budget for next year
- James D., Paul W., Lynne M. and Pam H. identified as audit committee
- Audit Meeting @ Pam’s house (1610 California Trail) Saturday, April 16 @ 10am
- Once Audit complete, Vicki B. and Caroline C. to join meeting to create budget proposal for next year.
- Budget to be proposed and finalized at next April Parent Leader Meeting
Misc:
- James to reserve library for June through Aug – will continue with same schedule (last Tues of the month)
- Stacey mentioned the Dallas Zoo lock-in – I didn’t note where that information was and couldn’t find it. Several were interested. Stacey, could you communicate the details on this ? (Thanks)
