Roundtable Minutes for May 4, 2006

Greetings,

Here are the minutes from tonight’s roundtable meeting:

A representative from the DFW Airport gave a presentation on a great opportunity for civic service.
They do a “Welcome Home a Hero Today” program where civic organizations greet soldiers back from Afghanistan
and Iraq. The People will serve water and other things to soldier coming home, or passing thru the airport.
Dens interested can reach them at either 972 621 0400, or send an email to heroes@dfwairport.com. Parking
will be validated, so all it costs is some time, and gas.

All School Night for Scouting training was held tonight. The event is scheduled for August 31st.
Webelos Summer camp will be held the following dates: July 2-5, 5-8, 9-12, and 12-15. Everyone is encouraged
to register as a Pack, instead of individually. This is due by July 1. Any boy that has graduated into the
4th grade, or 5th grade, are invited to attend.

There will be a training day for all Day Camp volunteers, on May 20th. Day Camp Coordinators can pick up the
t-shirts, and caps, at that meeting.

be Tigers next year. Currently, there are over 700 boys registered. Morning total is at 150%, and evening
camp currently has 100% of total capacity.

Scoutshow is on May 13, from 10 AM to 3 PM. Each family that wishes to attend must purchase a ticket for $5.
This is good for the whole family. Boys will receive a “passport” that, if they get all 20 stamps on it, then
the boys will earn a patch. Leaders and adults can pick up lots of craft and activity ideas. Remember, $2 of
each ticket will go to the boy selling its den, for Summer Activities. So Sell, Sell, Sell. And if you run
out, please contact Bob Craig, he has extras.
