Parent/Leader Meeting Minutes for June 26, 2007


Thank you to all who attended. Remember that ALL parents are welcome to attend!

Report on pack audit: Diane Kale is the new Treasurer. Everything is in order, up to date, and well managed. We are starting the new scouting year off great.

Finances: The estimated cost per scout for all of the events that occur during the scouting year add up to about $107.00. That is why fundraising is so important. This year we will do popcorn and Sonic as usual. Troy Tatum volunteered to make copies for Join Scouting Night. I volunteer my front yard and an advertisement in the Plano newspaper to have a yard sale in the late summer/ early fall. Other ideas are in the works. When things are finalized I will report on them.

2007-2008 Budget: approved

Assistants voted in: Committee Chair- Adam Kolodny, Chartered Organization Representative- Tom Kale, Den Chief- Zane Jacobs

Summer Time Activities: Angela Krape will be putting out an update. For now we have planned the Boy Scout Museum on Monday, July 9 (1329 W. Walnut Hill Ln. Irving, Tx, 800-303-3047, free on Mondays, open 10am- 7pm); Raingutter Regatta on Saturday, July 21 (GET YOUR BOAT KITS AND BUILD THEM NOW from the new scout shop in Allen); Interurban Train Museum from 10:30am- 11:00am followed by a picnic at Haggard Park on Saturday, August 4; and a swimming day has been proposed.
