For all its dysfunctional behavior, we have to hand it to the Senate for coming to the aid of the Boy Scouts. The members of the upper chamber voted 98-0, affirming the "Support Our Scouts Act of 2005," to support the Boy Scouts of America having equal access to government lands and facilities. Bravo! This is, of course, a severe rebuke to the ACLU, which has been attempting to punish the BSA for requiring that its members profess a duty to God and a commitment to "morally straight" living -- by suing governments that grant the Scouts equal access. The ACLU's targeted legal harassment of the Scouts is also a ham-handed move to force the Scouts to change the group's membership rules to approve of atheism and homosexuality. THANK YOU SENATE!!!
