Summertime Activities: Den Leaders please turn in names of those Cubs who attended at least one event each month this summer to Sarie Horne, our new Awards Chairman, so they may receive their Summertime Activities Patch at the September 11 Pack Meeting.
Join Scouting Night / September Pack Meeting: September 11 in the gym at Thomas Elementary. Please send your cubs to school that day in their uniforms. T-shirts will be available for sale there. Parents and Leaders please do wear your uniform or Pack 235 T-shirts to this event to show your support as there will be new parents and boys attending. If we have a lot of new cubs sign up we will be looking for additional Den Leader volunteers. Awards will be given out. Upcoming activities will be addressed. $50 Annual Pack Dues and Fall Campout Fees will be collected.
Fall Campout: Diane Kale will contact Pilot Knoll at Lake Lewisville when they reopen on August 31 to set up a campout for us the weekend of October 26-28. She will put out an e-mail when it is finalized. Sign-up and fees will be collected at the September 11 meeting.
Popcorn Sales: Stephanie Vosper is our Popcorn Kernel this year. She will put out an e-mail explaining sales goals and incentives. She will host a Popcorn Pep Rally and Blitz Day at Wagon Wheel Park on September 15th and possibly 16th as well. Meeting time will be announced. Den Leaders please turn in your popcorn orders to Stephanie by Thursday, October 25th, the night before the Fall Campout. We need men with big cars and trucks to volunteer to help pick up the popcorn on November 10th.
Habitat for Humanity: Suzie Luttrell will be arranging a service project for our cubs called "Sign a Stud". Patrons of Lowes and possibly Home Depot as well will donate $1 each directly to Habitat for Humanity and in exchange they will sign a stud that will actually go into the construction of one of the houses. Exact date or dates for this will be announced. It will occurr between September 22 and October 15. Boys should wear full dress uniforms. Cuteness!
