New Membership update:
- 59 or 60 scouts total registered with 16 or 17 new scouts since last May
- Pam Harrison to send a new roster out to leaders
- Susie Luttrell to send the list of scouts that received pinewood cars to the pinewood committee (Lynne Musolf)
Popcorn:
- Kickoff on Sep 16 a big success.
- Already above 50% of last year’s sales
- Send completed forms to Stephanie Vosper
- Popcorn pickup is scheduled for Nov 11, which conflicts with the fall campout. Mark, Andrea and Stephanie arranged to pick-up early on Friday, Nov 10.
Buddy Walk:
- The Buddy Walk is a walk that promotes awareness and inclusion of people with Down syndrome, to raise money for research, education and advocacy programs.
- The walk is scheduled for Sunday, Nov 12, at Flagpole Hill, beginning at 11am.
- Susie Luttrell and Kelly Theriault plan to walk in the event, forming a Pack 235 team.
- They are looking for sponsorship from companies or individuals – contact Susie or Kelly if you can sponsor.
- In addition, there is a golf tournament on Oct 10 – anyone interested needs to contact Kelly Theriault
Fall Campout:
- Based on prior campouts, reserved 30 sites – but 47 families responded
- Tyler State Park could give us additional campsites, but the Pack would be split
- Unanimously voted to move the campout to Pilot Knoll, which can handle all families in the same campsite. In addition there would be not entrance fee. Fees already paid are applicable.
- Down side is that we will lose the $75 deposit.
- Attendess approved allowing Grisel Okichich (Pack 235 alumni) and her family to attend the campout
- Anyone wanting to cancel due to the change in location, please contact your leader and/or Millissa Mendiola

Oct Pack Meeting
- Next Pack Meeting is Oct 10 at Hoblitzele Park (North of Legacy off of Red River)
- Den 5 responsible for Pack event
- Sherri Amato-Smith’s troop to help by presenting a “cooking” theme
- Need to check on burn ban for Plano
Fund Raising:
- Due to Popcorn sales, members requested that the Interstate battery fundraiser be tabled until Spring
- Also looking at a fundraiser at Fudd Ruckers
- Several attendees talked about cards that you can purchase and scratch-off the donated amount.
Misc:
- Code of Conduct forms need to be turned in by next Parent/leader meeting
- Plano Park Fees are going up to $25 (currently at $10). Troy has already pre-paid for the Oct and May Pack Meetings at Hoblitzele Park
- Pinewood Derby: Wood Badge training date moved from Jan 20 to Jan 27th. We had moved the Pinewood Derby to Jan 27 based on original Wood Badge schedule. Now need to move Pinewood back to Jan 20th. Paul Waldrop to see if church (Waterview) is available on that date.
- Blue & Gold: Paul Waldrop to see if church is available for event
T-shirts:
- In early 2006, the Pack purchased an additional 100 shirts from a company in Florida, at a cost of $436. Have not received the t-shirts, nor has the company returned our phone calls
- Paul Waldrop has filed a complaint to the Better Business Bureau in Florida. Now have to wait 3 weeks for the company to respond.
- Cheryl Waldrop has found a local person at their church to fulfill future t-shirt orders
- Jeff Rustoven had also agreed to get involved should the Pack deem it necessary
