Parent Leader Meeting Minutes for October 24, 2006

Popcorn update:
-     DEN LEADERS: Please contact your families to remind them to turn in their order by Friday October 27th.
-      You can drop-off the order forms and checks by Stephanie Vosper’s house between 8:00 pm and 9:00 pm this week, 6813 Wickliff Trail. Be sure to knock on the door as the doorbell is disabled. Remember to fill out the award(s) your child selected.

Camp Out in November:
-      Sites Reserved at Pilot Knoll.
-      2:00pm – 3:00pm Pack activity.
-      Pack meeting in the Playground area like last year Saturday evening

Nov Pack Meeting
-      At the Campout, Saturday evening in the playground area like last year
Dec Pack Meeting:

-      Thomas Elementary, most likely in the cafeteria.
-      Need volunteers to made decorations and/or with decorating.

Christmas Parade:
-      Troy in charge by default.
-      Trailer offered / possible sponsor. Need volunteers to made decorations and/or with decorating. Would like help with securing a better sound system then last year and a volunteer to be Santa??

Fundraising Items (Meal Nights, Sonic, etc…)
-      Ideas included: 1) Spaghetti Warehouse: they require 100 people / you get 10% of the night; 2) Barns and Nobles paper wrap (successful last year); 3) Silent Auction (may not do well with out demographics and late start); 4) Scotty P’s.
-      Will plan for another meal night in November TBA.

Location updates (Blue and Gold, Pinewood):
-      Pinewood on Saturday January 27th at Waterview Church of Christ. Pack Meeting for January same day.
-      Blue and Gold location not yet finalized – depend on the date the location will be available. Best date: Feb 17th tentatively

Next Meeting:
-      Discussion on cons and pros of Sofware for tracking awards. Plan to discuss possibility of purchasing Scout Tracker or Pack Master software. Encourage everyone to research and desire Amanda’s input too on making a decision too.

Misc:

T-shirts:
-      In early 2006, the Pack purchased an additional 100 shirts from a company in Florida, at a cost of $436. Have not received the t-shirts, nor has the company returned our phone calls
-      Paul Waldrop has filed a complaint to the Better Business Bureau and is preparing to send info to Department of Consumer Affairs in Brower County Florida. We agreed to pay postage for this.

Finances:
-      Current Balance is $2719.62
