Pack meeting in December
- Den 8 is in charge of the pack meeting on December 11 in the Thomas Gym at 7pm
- It will be a gift exchange. Please bring a wrapped present ($5 value) if you want to be a part of the exchange. Siblings are welcome to join in the fun as well! Please wrap the gifts so that they can tell if it is for a girl or a boy or either.
- Pine Wood Derby cars will be handed out at this meeting. Den leaders will need to pick up cars for those boys unable to attend
- Any awards that are to handed out that night are due to Sarie Horne by December 4th. Email her at sarieh@tx.rr.com
Popcorn
- Stephanie was unable to attend to give a final wrap-up
Campout
- Pack meeting before dinner was good since it relieved alot of stress of cooking then running to the meeting. Less attendance than expected at the pack campfire later- maybe just leave it at den campfires?
- Several campsites were empty on Friday night and Saturday night this time. Could have saved the pack about $100 if we had asked people if they were leaving early. Something to work into the plans for next campout.
Annual dues
- Several families are late on paying their annual dues of $50. Please drop your payment off with Diane Kale at her crosswalk or at her home (1528 Alamosa Dr)
- It was voted in at the meeting to add to the By-Laws the following about 5th grade dues:
- 5th grade Webelos will not pay BSA registration/Boy's Life($22) to the pack but instead to the Troop they crossover into. They will only pay half of the current pack dues. This would cover them from September to March.
- If a 5th grade Webelos decides to stay with the pack beyond Blue & Gold, they will need to let the Charter Organization Representative know and pay for registration and the remaining pack dues by January 15th.
- Our current Pack dues are $28, so the 5th grade Webelos owe $14 to the pack, due at the December pack meeting.
Finances
- Current balance is $1885.51. This does not include money from popcorn sales.
Pine Wood Derby
- Chris Beardsley was our chairman but has moved to the pack at his church. At this time the PWD committee will work together to cover all the bases for this event. Date and location is TBD. Details to come....
- We are having a meeting on December 18 at 7pm at the Harrison home to talk about Pine Wood Derby. Any who would like to help, please come and join in the fun!
Blue & Gold Banquet
- Still looking into locations. It was mentioned that maybe we should do it at an earlier time and only have cake and punch? Catering cost were close to $1000. Even with families paying in, we were $300 over budget last year.
Other Business
- Kathy Rapport was voted in as Assistant Cubmaster.
