So what's with this "jukebox" handle?If you really feel a need to know . . .I picked it up in college, when I was a member of the Syracuse University Marching Band. I've always had a knack for playing by ear. Additionally, I was pretty stir-crazy; I couldn't sit still! During band practice one evening, I sat there just playing my horn, and the assistant band director said, "Listen to the jukebox play over there. You put a quarter in him, and he'll play you a tune!" Well, the name stuck, and the rest is history. |
