I had the opportunity to meet Ing. Alfieri, one of the greatest engine designers 

and race car engineers of all times. He was at the Concorso Italiano in Carmel, 

California this August. He was there with his wife, and a female guest from 

the Ferrari factory with as last name 'Ferrari'...I didn't get the lowdown on the guest.



In the same room at a cocktail party one night before the event was a collection 

of the world's greatest living automotive figures: Ing. Alfieri (Maserati and Lamborghini), 

Chuck Jordan (head GM designer for many years), Renzo Rivolta (Iso Rivolta, 

Bizzarini fame), Sergio Pininfarina, Fabrizio Giugiaro (Giorgietto's son, recently 

of his own Carrozzeria), and Sterling Moss. WOW! What an evening.
