Lamborghini

I'm always looking to purchase excess quantities or out-of-stock or discontinued inventory, automotive related or not.  I pay a healthy 'referral fee' for  passing on information about a collection of literature, boutique items or a parcel of hard mechanical parts that you know is for sale or trade. Tell me about it and we both stand to benefit from it!

Lamborghini transporter at the factory

Huge for Italy, the black factory
transporter awaits completed Diablo
GTs for delivery.

The not-for-USA Diablo GT

The inside of the 'Germanized' Automobili Lamborghini factory
is clean and orderly, unlike most Italian car factories that I've
             visited...the result of Audi's constraints.

In October I was able to finally visit the Lamborghini factory in Sant'Agata Bolognese,
outside of Bologna, Italy. I was picked up at the Bologna train station in a....Audi A8.
Coincidental? I'm not sure. Certainly ironic considering that Lamborghini is now owned
in its entirety by Audi!

President Joe Greco (formerly of Ferrari North America and Fiat North America) and
his PR Director, Alberto Armaroli offered me an insightful view of their plans and
goals. A portion of that long interview is here.

My friend, Jim Kaminski, assisted me in setting up this interview and visit.

The roll of adhesive tape, 14k lapel pin, the Diablo GT brochure and the factory sales
brochure with slides are all for sale as I have duplicates of them. Inquire.

Mr. Armaroli, PR Director, at Lamborghini Note the Audi poster on the wall in
                    the background...

Note the Audis in front of the Lamborghini...How ironic considering
that they use the Audis for transporting their VIPs and use same as
 employee cars.

They make only 1.2 per day

Only 1.2 (that's one and a fifth) Lamborghini are made each day. If you figure in the well-known Italian
tradition of 'sciopero' (labor strikes) they make even less. They're trying to increase
production to 1000/yr in five years. Good luck!
