Playspaces Consulting (PC) is an early care consulting and training business serving North and South Carolina's early childhood profession. PC provides early care and training to early childhood professionals including directors and teachers of childcare facilities, family childcare homes, religious-sponsored schools, public preschools, Head Start and school age programs who work with children birth - 12 years of age. PC exists to support early childhood professionals who desire to bring quality care to the children they serve.
Goals
PC's goals focus on . . .
- making current child development knowledge meaningful and powerful to early childhood professionals through training, mentoring and modeling;
- teaching developmentally appropriate practices in effective ways to build skills for meaningful interactions and teaching strategies;
- technical assistance advice and guidance to programs serving children birth - 12 years of age;
- guiding early childhood professionals in their pursuit of higher education through traditional or distance learning coursework; and
- advocating and creating change to influence better outcomes for children, families and the early childhood profession and community which supports the economic development and growth of the Carolinas..
