Philosophy
I believe children learn best where the development of the whole child matters. Educationally this would include:
- providing a nurturing and safe environment for children and families;
- supporting learning through play as the child's primary role through daily hands-on learning activities and experiences indoors and outdoors;
- providing developmentally appropriate learning materials, activities and equipment;
- meaningful interactions to encourage children to think, explore, create, reason, and problem solve; and
- inviting families to become actively involved in their child's education, activities, fun and learning.
God entrusts children to us and we are to ensure that we give children what they need to succeed in school and in life. I believe that is why the Lord gave Matthew 19:14 as confirmation for the birth of Playspaces Consulting:
"But Jesus said, 'Suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me: for of such is the kingdom of heaven.'"
